A modpack for exploring dungeons, practicing magic, and growing crops.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 104 graded mods, 28 are graded A or B, 9 C and 67 D to F. Its last update came out 4.6 years ago, for Minecraft 1.7.10. See the mods
Magiculture is a modpack focused on magic, exploration, and agriculture, inviting players to investigate ancient ruins and dungeons while choosing how to use the world's magical forces. Its magic systems span Ars Magica 2, Thaumcraft, Blood Magic, Botania, Witchery, and Electrobob's Wizardry, with cross-mod recipes that let players use materials from one magic mod to craft items from another. Exploration includes Roguelike Dungeons with varied dungeon types and loot, custom Recurrent Complex dungeons, and dangerous mobs with custom drops; the pack also adds custom mob spawning across biomes. The world uses Realistic Terrain Generation and Biomes O' Plenty, and its ore distribution and tool-mining progression are tuned around a sequence of materials from wood and stone through copper, bronze, iron, diamond, steel, mithril, and rarer metals. Agriculture and food are supported by AgriCraft, Pam's HarvestCraft, and Cooking for Blockheads, while building and decoration options include BiblioCraft, Chisel, Carpenter's Blocks, and Garden Stuff. Magic is the main emphasis, but players can also pursue machinery through Immersive Engineering and EnderIO.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.7.10 · Forge, 14 Mar 2022). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
3 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 8 Jan 2018 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
A Warning in 1 mod
We checked 105 of its 107 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
A Warning is not proof of malware.
Wrong result? Tell us.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
1 mod sends something about you
We read the code of 105 of its 107 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 3 of the 35 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
72 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
