Guided quests help you build a colony while settlers gather supplies.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 74 graded mods, 62 are graded A or B, 8 C and 4 D to F. Its last update came out 16 months ago, for Minecraft 1.21.1. See the mods
Minecolonies Getting Started guides players from basic survival crafting into establishing a Minecolonies settlement, with quests leading through a Supply Camp or Ship, a Town Hall, and the hiring of a first Builder. After the colony is founded, Minecolonies NPCs make contextual requests for materials and can gather resources, expand housing, and defend the perimeter, leaving players free to explore and develop the settlement. Additional Structures adds ruins, tents, and dungeons as places to explore and find early loot. The pack adds biome-aware ambience through Ambient Sounds 6 and an Amplified Nether with tall terrain that makes exploration and quartz gathering more vertical. For building, Domum Ornamentum provides Builder-compatible beams, arches, and roofs, while Building Gadgets 2 and Charging Gadgets help players place roads and walls at larger scales. Sophisticated Backpacks and Tom’s Storage support carrying and storing resources, while quality-of-life additions such as JEI, Mouse Tweaks, and Ultimine streamline item lookup, inventory handling, and block breaking.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge, 3 Jul 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 2 Jan 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 74 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 74 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 4 of the 56 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
18 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
