Quest-based skyblock modpack centered around introducing new players to the world of bees.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 107 graded mods, 36 are graded A or B, 20 C and 51 D to F. Its last update came out 7.8 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Not The Bees is a quest-driven skyblock and overworld modpack that introduces players to bee breeding through guided progression and an optional Easy mode for learning the basics. Choose a custom island, skyblock world or custom Hexlands world; in the overworld option, ores are absent, and the pack does not use Ex Nihilo-style resource generation. Instead, breed bees to produce basic resources, learning the systems in Forestry, Gendustry, Binnie’s mods and Career Bees, which are also needed for early automation. A bee store in the quest book lets you trade honey and other bee-related items for special rewards. Quest lines also introduce Botania, Thaumcraft, Blood Magic and Astral Sorcery, adding magic-focused paths for later progression and a route toward unlocking ProjectE.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 16 Jan 2019). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 28 Nov 2018 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 113 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 113 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 7 of the 55 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
58 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
