Tech pack designed to feel immersive and realistic.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 153 graded mods, 95 are graded A or B, 37 C and 21 D to F. Its last update came out 4.8 years ago, for Minecraft 1.16.5. See the mods
Real Tech is a technology-focused modpack that aims to make survival feel more immersive and realistic while keeping progression balanced, manageable, and open-ended. Custom recipes and progression systems, including ore tripling, connect its mods through useful mechanics, while quests offer optional guidance without prescribing how players should build or explore. Resource gathering centers on biome-based ore generation and prospecting, with large, detailed caves that make exploration rewarding but somewhat dangerous. The pack also adjusts mob spawns to place more realistic enemies and animals on the surface, while concentrating undead and other fantasy mobs in expanded caves, the Nether, and the End. Its technology options include Create, Immersive Engineering and Immersive Petroleum, PneumaticCraft, CC: Tweaked, and redstone-focused additions such as Gauges and Switches and Tiny Redstone. Beyond machinery, MineColonies and Guard Villagers support colony building and defense; Tinkers’ Construct and Mining Helmet add tool and mining options, while Astikorcarts, Simple Planes, and the Ultimate Car Mod expand transportation. Food and everyday survival are broadened with Farmer’s Delight, Simple Farming, and cooking and tea additions, alongside storage and inventory tools such as Backpacked, Pretty Pipes, and Storage Drawers. Building and world exploration are supported by decorative blocks and furniture, Macaw’s bridges, doors, roofs, and windows, and world additions such as Alex’s Mobs, Better Caves, Biomes O’ Plenty, and Valhelsia Structures. Survival adjustments add some challenge while easing persistent annoyances, and the pack’s selections are intended to balance performance with its broader immersive approach.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.16.5 · Forge, 18 Jan 2022). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 17 Dec 2021 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 154 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 154 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 8 of the 114 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
40 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
