A horror modpack where supernatural things haunt your lonely world.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 52 graded mods, 51 are graded A or B, 1 C and none D to F. Its last update came out 15 months ago, for Minecraft 1.21.1. See the mods
The Herobrine is a horror-focused survival modpack built around mystery and the unsettling sense that you are being watched, with subtle paranormal events, creeping fog, and faint whispers shaping its dark atmosphere. Its more than 50 mods combine gameplay changes and performance optimizations, and the included Spooklementary shader, based on Complementary Shaders, supports the pack’s eerie visual mood. It is designed for solo play or for sharing a frightening survival experience with friends.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · Fabric, 20 Jul 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
3 files not listed: no matching project found.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked all 54 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 51 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 5 of the 49 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
2 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
