About
Ashen 16x is a medieval-fantasy resource pack that refreshes Minecraft’s visual style while aiming to remain faithful to the game’s original look. It provides a 16x visual overhaul across nearly all in-game assets, with custom models for many blocks and items, additional block variants for more detailed builds, and mob variants when used with a compatible mod such as OptiFine. Its coverage extends beyond blocks and items to creatures, particles, paintings, and interface elements, including textures for the Ender Dragon, Ravager, Sonic Boom and Sculk Charge effects, and named paintings such as “Seaside,” “Fern,” and “Sunflowers.” The pack is designed primarily for vanilla play; optional add-ons offer variations such as autumn forests, custom mobs, emissive ores, simple foliage and glass, and a custom font. Ashen is also reported to work with Fresh Animations when loaded above it, though broader compatibility with packs or mods that alter models is not guaranteed.
