Ancient Kingdoms 3 is a medieval-themed modpack for building a kingdom, exploring a broad mix of magic, technology, farming, and construction, and following a hero’s path through a dangerous fantasy world. Its MineColonies settlements can grow from small beginnings into bustling cities, with villagers taking on farming, crafting, and defensive jobs. Magic options include Botania, Blood Magic, Ars Nouveau, and Primal Magick, while Create and Applied Energistics 2 add technology-focused play. Questlines guide players through systems such as MineColonies, Create, Applied Energistics 2, and Ice and Fire. Exploration includes dungeons and other world structures, with threats ranging from Souls-like mobs to Cataclysm bosses and dragons from Ice and Fire. The pack is intended to support a relaxed pace while offering optional tougher encounters through summoning, Gateways, or finding Souls-like bosses and mobs in the world. It also includes a public multiplayer server with land claiming and cosmetic features.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 30 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 14 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 295 of its 297 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
13 mods send something about you
We read the code of 265 of its 267 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 19 of the 227 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
40 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
