Companions! expands Minecraft with tamable creatures that have distinct abilities, alongside hostile mobs, weapons, and the Sacred Pontiff boss. Its companions include the four-state Antlion, which shifts from a burrowing sand-spitter to a pupa, flying adult, and projectile-firing soldier; the repaired, electricity-generating Dinamo; and the Soul Mage, which can use magic books while a Living Candle can protect it from a lethal hit. Other companions bring different roles: the Croissant Dragon slows enemies and grants effects through flavored armor, Cloak can make itself and its owner briefly invisible, Mankh attacks with fire or a laser, and Cornelius summons fighters in exchange for coins and can play blackjack. The Minion changes form between Overworld, End, and Nether variants, while the Puppet can be outfitted with craftable arms and the Teddy can become a flying, mutated attacker. Players can also summon temporary Shade Maw transport and Shade Sword combat companions, with charged altars and a Shadow Bell; fully charged altars strengthen their first summon. Finding and transforming companions is part of the experience: players can tame a desert Antlion by approaching unseen, turn a swamp Golden Allay into a Soul Mage with garments and a staff, and win a rock-paper-scissors challenge at a Witch House to begin obtaining the Puppet. The mod adds structures such as factories, Witch Houses, a Teddy Prison, and the Sacred Pontiff’s own arena, as well as a raid encounter with an electric Illager Golem. Its Soul Furnace turns special inputs into soul-like results, including cooking Big Bread into a Croissant Egg that hatches into a dragon; custom furnace recipes can be added through datapack JSON files. The Tesla Network connects components such as Voltaic Pillars, Relays, Coils, and Plasma Lamps to carry current, power devices, and electrocute entities that touch it. A Respawn Totem charged with an Hourglass can revive nearby tamed entities a limited number of times from a shared pool, while configurable options and Cornelius blackjack bets offer further customization.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
