Cosmetica lets players customize their characters with free, user-created cosmetics that are visible to others using the mod. Players can equip custom static or animated capes and elytras, plus accessories such as hats, shoulder buddies, back blings, shoes, and other pieces attached to different parts of the character. A second nametag, called lore, can display details such as pronouns, a title, or a Discord or Twitch identity. In-game and online catalogues let players browse cosmetics and preview them on their skin before equipping them, while users can design and upload their own creations. Players can also assemble outfits for quick changes, and armour stands can wear outfits. Cosmetica can display capes from services such as OptiFine, LabyMod, Cloaks+, Mantle, MinecraftCapes.net, and SkinMC, with individual settings for supported sources.

No harmful code found
A Warning in its files for older Minecraft versions (1.18): it sends your Minecraft login token to an address built at run time, not to Mojang. With it, someone can use your account.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
Sends your player ID and unknown data
Sent to sessionserver.mojang.com and an address built while the game runs.
Only some of its files send your player ID and unknown data.
We found this in its code, read without running it.
Its files for older Minecraft versions (1.18) also send your Minecraft login token and text to an AI service.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
Point at or tap a version to see its loaders.
These projects do not work together with Cosmetica: their authors or Cosmetica's author say so. If you install both, the game can crash or some features can stop working. Some of them do the same job as Cosmetica, so you only need one.
