Wear hats that give you useful perks or change your look.
38.5 of the 64 points that apply = 60 out of 100. The points above are rounded to whole numbers.
Give Me Hats! adds wearable hats that appear in loot chests, with individual hats configurable to disable or adjust their chest appearance. Most hats grant abilities: the Sailor hat speeds up boat travel, the Slime hat makes you bounce on landing, the Floating hat provides slow falling, and the Bunny ears grant a jump boost. Other hats interact with particular situations: the Cowboy hat speeds up horse travel, the Santa hat provides a more consistent Frost Walker effect, and the Space Helmet supplies oxygen even underwater. Several hats trigger effects through sneaking or combat: Cat ears scare nearby creepers and Fox ears freeze animals when you sneak, while the Witches Brim can inflict slowness, mining fatigue, or poison when you punch an enemy. The collection also includes utility and environmental abilities such as the Russian hat removing excess status effects, the Dwarven helm granting Haste underground, the Viking helmet providing night vision in boats and strength in rain, and the Halo dealing extra damage to undead mobs. Some hats are purely cosmetic, including the Top Hat, Tippity-Top Tophat, lil tater, Fez, and crown.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 2 areas: Mobs and their behaviorChanges 1 game code file in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act. and Blocks and fluidsChanges 1 game code file in this area: how blocks, fluids and redstone work..
A library packed inside it changes 7 more game code files: Cardinal Components API (entities).
Adds:
Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
