    About

    Gliders adds craftable, early- to mid-game wings as an alternative to rushing for an Elytra, helping players cross terrain, explore caves, and avoid falls in both single-player and multiplayer. The gliders come in wood, iron, gold, diamond, and netherite tiers, made using reinforced paper crafted from paper and materials such as leather, metals, diamonds, or netherite scrap; higher tiers offer greater durability and longer flight time. While gliding, players can catch rising air from fire and magma to gain height, and upgrades help gliders handle hotter dimensions and broaden their usefulness across different environments. Gliders have first- and third-person animations, and a camera option can switch to a wider third-person view while flying to help with navigation. The mod also supports Create contraptions such as glider launchers and transportation systems, and Curios lets players equip a glider as an accessory rather than occupying a chest slot. Gliders can be enchanted with Mending and Unbreaking, and their durability needs attention: flying in rain or storms risks lightning strikes that can damage the glider.
