About
Horse Buff is a quality-of-life mod that makes riding and handling mounts less frustrating, with server-side changes such as keeping saddled mounts from wandering, letting them ride in rafts, removing the mounted mining-speed penalty, and raising their step height slightly. Its server-side mount support includes horses, donkeys, mules, zombie horses, skeleton horses, camels, and llamas where applicable. Client-side features let mounted players swim at the water’s surface and prevent horses from abruptly bucking; the default configuration disables mounted swimming for undead horses and camels. For visibility and presentation, mounts can fade when the player looks down, and riders can adjust the head pitch of several horse types or make mounts named “jeb_” display rainbow colors. A shortcut also opens the survival inventory while riding, with a configurable keybind. Horse Buff’s complete feature set is available in HorseMan 1.3.0 and later.
