AnimateCraft: Lankeren is a story-driven RPG and survival modpack set in a parallel Minecraft world, where an allay awakens the player centuries later and draws them into a fight against illagers and returning Nether forces to save the Overworld and uncover its history. The transformed world features towering forests, rolling plains, canyons, lush landscapes, and creatures including giants, Zombie Knights, Skeleton Horseback Archers, Lost Golems, and Mega Slimes. Its visual and audio changes include lively player and mob animations, pixel-art and 3D textures, RPG-style armor and particles, designs inspired by Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Legends, a medieval-style C418 soundtrack, and revised ambient wildlife and sounds. Combat adds parkour and item-based abilities: the Whirlwind Sword knocks back nearby enemies, the Rotten Axe sends a damaging gust forward, enchanted tridents summon rain or lightning, and the Sonic Chestplate fires a sonic attack. Exploration includes overhauled plains villages, wandering trader camps stocked with tools such as compasses, maps, and spyglasses, undead castles, witches’ wagons, piglin camps, a Kung-Fu Palace in cherry groves, and YUNG-overhauled adventure structures, as well as towns and towers across biomes. Survival is more demanding: players gather materials to make a crafting table and smelt cobblestone into stone for stone tools, manage temperature and food spoilage, and use campfires to keep monsters away when sleep is difficult. Farming harvests grant experience, villagers react to theft or imprisonment and remember help during raids, and the Ender Dragon can attack villages until defeated in the End; players can also hatch the dragon egg into a dragon baby. The pack also begins players with a mount and makes riding smoother across land and water, with a whistle that calls nearby mounts.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Fabric, 27 May 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 23 May 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 297 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
10 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 257 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 13 of the 257 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
