New Origins is a multiplayer-friendly modpack that reshapes Minecraft into a challenging fantasy RPG adventure, with exploration, combat, role-playing builds, and room for creative projects such as cities and factories. Choose a class path such as Berserker, Ranger, Rogue, Crusader, Cleric, Necromancer, Wizard, or Spellblade; an extensive skill tree offers path-specific abilities and buffs, with matching weapons and armor. Combat brings stronger threats as you play and venture farther, varied creatures and Illager raids, and dragons that can be tamed and ridden into battle; the End fight is more demanding and scales with the number of players present. The adventure also supports trading and village life, farming and cooking with Farmers Delight, building with new blocks, and automation through Create. Friends can join hosted worlds, form guilds to explore together, and use guild alliances and wars for organized group play; in-game voice chat is supported when worlds are hosted. Longer days and nights change the pace of survival, while the soundtrack shifts with the situation and visual and audio effects add atmosphere to biomes and large spaces. The pack is designed with optimization in mind, including chunk-loading improvements and support for long render distances with level-of-detail rendering.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Fabric, 1 Jun 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 17 May 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 380 of its 381 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
15 mods send something about you
We read the code of 377 of its 379 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 16 of the 374 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
5 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
