Mob Scarecrows adds decorative scarecrows and plushies that can keep hostile mobs away from your home or attract selected creatures. Its themed figures have specific effects: cats scare creepers, wolves scare skeletons, iron golems scare zombies and attract slimes, pigeons scare spiders, snow golems scare blazes, and axolotls scare endermen. Villagers attract passive mobs, pillagers scare passive mobs and villagers, copper golems attract villagers, zombified piglins scare piglins and zoglins, and golden pigs attract piglins. Rabbits scare ravagers, Steve attracts hostile mobs, chickens scare silverfish, zombies scare villagers into making iron golems and scare rabbits, piglins scare hoglins, and scarecrows scare all hostile mobs. The figures affect their target mobs within an eight-block radius, which can be changed in the configuration; plushies also make squeaky sounds. The mod can affect modded entities too, though some may behave unexpectedly depending on how they are added.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: Mobs and their behaviorChanges 15 game code files in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act..
Adds 17 items, 11 mobs, 6 other entities, 17 recipes, 16 loot tables and 2 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
