About
Musket Mod adds craftable flintlock firearms and ammunition, bringing historically styled ranged weapons into Minecraft combat. Its arsenal includes the standard musket, a bayonet-equipped musket for melee attacks, a scoped musket with 3× zoom and improved accuracy, a nine-pellet blunderbuss with a wide spread, and a pistol that can be fired from either hand. A musket upgrade smithing template, found in strongholds, woodland mansions, and other Overworld structures, is required to craft the bayonet and scoped variants. Paper cartridges provide ammunition, and dispensers can fire them as projectiles. Headshots deal 30% more damage to most bipedal mobs; bullets can ignite TNT and break some blocks, while water prevents firing and weakens bullets that pass through it. Pillagers and skeletons can use guns, with some spawning equipped, and their gun damage is reduced by default. The mod also exposes settings for bullet spread and lets creators extend gun loot, enchantment eligibility, bullet-affected blocks, and headshot detection through data tags.
