About
Particular enriches Minecraft’s ambience with hand-crafted visual effects, including 3D water splashes and waterfall cascades, fireflies, falling leaves, cave dust, and ripples from rain and water drips. The effects respond to their surroundings: splashes vary with an entity’s width and a fall’s height, while cascades depend on the falling water and the open sides of its source; leaves create ripples when they land on water. Fireflies appear around flowers and tall grass in warm biomes, with randomized dusk spawning, and cave dust spawning varies with depth and sunlight. Opening an underwater chest or barrel releases bubbles, with ender chests producing green-tinted bubbles; soul sand beneath a chest can make it open automatically and emit bubbles. Other effects include popping bubbles, cake-eating particles, and emissive lava drips, and the mod lets players disable effects or exclude biomes from cave dust. It also provides custom falling-leaf effects for Traverse, Regions Unexplored, and Wilder Wild.
