About
Profundis is a world-generation mod that makes the underground more varied by adding nine vanilla-styled cave biomes: Frozen, Mushroom, Molten, Amethyst, Black, Arid, Floral Lush, White, and Painted Caves. Each biome has a distinct setting and appearance, from icy ceilings and mushroom-covered floors to lava deltas, glowing amethyst veins, dark tuff-and-blackstone caverns, colorful terracotta walls, and flower-filled lush caves. Biome generation can be disabled individually in the configuration. The mod also adds underground structures, including loot-bearing cabins with useful work blocks, Mushroom Houses, Ice Dungeons with a Skeleton spawner and Strays, and more challenging Amethyst Dungeons with a Diamond Block reward. Other discoveries include underground fountains called Sanctuaries, Blackstone Lanterns whose barrel loot is better when opened at night, and Deep Statues containing Iron Blocks. Profundis can run on a server without requiring joining clients to install the mod, and it can also be used in singleplayer.
