    About

    Requiem reworks Minecraft’s death system to keep death from simply ending a player’s journey, replacing the usual respawn interruption with a ghostly afterlife and body-possession gameplay. Players who choose the remnant path leave their destroyed body as a disembodied soul, which can fly, glide, see in the dark and phase through most blocks while searching for a replacement body to possess. Possessing mobs lets players continue exploring in another body, while undead roleplay can bring challenges such as avoiding sunlight, enduring the ocean and seeking prey. The mod also supports mixed play: each player can use Requiem’s death system or retain vanilla death in the same world, and server rules can set the starting soul type, show a possessor’s name, or customize possession and inventory behavior.
