Mob Origins is an add-on for the Origins mod that lets players choose from nine origins themed around Minecraft mobs, each with its own combination of abilities and drawbacks. The choices include Bee, Elder Guardian, Evoker, Fox, Guardian, Slime, Snow Golem, Witch, and Wolf, with a Drowned origin also documented. These origins reshape play in distinctive ways: Slimes bounce, resist fall damage, and can split off a smaller slime; Bees can descend slowly on tiny wings and gain regeneration near flowers; and Foxes move quickly, gather nearby items, and are unharmed by sweet berry bushes. Aquatic origins such as Guardian and Elder Guardian breathe and move well underwater, while Guardians can evolve into Elder Guardians after killing one; Elder Guardians also resist Mining Fatigue and can damage attackers with spikes. Other examples include the Evoker’s fang-summoning and chance to keep a totem after use, the Witch’s extended potion effects and situation-based potion magic, and the Wolf’s full-moon boosts and stronger tamed wolves. The Snow Golem leaves a trail of snow, throws damaging snowballs, and gains strength in cold places, but is vulnerable to heat; the Drowned is a trident specialist with enhanced underwater combat and abilities that work around water restrictions. Some origins also alter social or environmental interactions, such as Pillager-aligned characters being welcomed by pillagers but disliked by villagers, and Strider-like characters walking quickly on lava while moving slowly on land. Slime characters can dye their appearance, and using a water-filled cauldron restores the default slime-green color; summoned slimes match the player’s color and do not harm their owner.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
moborigins-1.4.0.jar, CurseForge moborigins-1.4.0.jar. 1 class changed, in io.github.ultrusbot.moborigins.mixin: LivingEntityMixin. We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and code history and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
