About
Simply Cats expands Minecraft’s cat-focused gameplay with genetically varied cats whose inherited traits produce a wide range of coat colors and patterns, fur lengths, eye colors, and tail types. Stray cats can appear in villages, witch huts, and near catnip, while village Pet Shelters add a shelter worker, adoptable cats and dogs, and trades involving pets, carriers, or sterilization potions. Players can adopt animals with certificates and use pet carriers to capture and transport cats and dogs; treat bags call wandering cats to the player and can set or reveal a cat’s home point. Cats have autonomous breeding and pregnancy behavior, with kittens inheriting their mother’s ownership and taming status; players can use a cat book to inspect information and sterilization potions to prevent breeding. Catnip is a growable crop that attracts cats, which may eat it, and can also be used to craft cat-related items; compatibility adds catnip tea with Farmer’s Respite and seasonal growth with Serene Seasons. Cats wander around their home area, may climb onto chests, beds, or active furnaces, and can be drawn to a laser toy; at night, tamed cats sleep near their owner and may leave a morning gift. Cats can attack configurable prey, while creepers avoid them and witches become passive nearby.
