A life-like world with changing seasons, weather, and new ways to explore.

IRLCraft is a survival-focused modpack that makes Minecraft feel more like a changing, demanding world, while offering quests to guide players through its many systems. Seasons and climate affect play: crops are seasonal, while thirst, temperature, food variety, and spoilage make everyday survival matter; fridges and freezers can preserve food. Fishing is a substantial alternative activity, with a reeling system, fish of common, uncommon, and rare tiers, and catches shaped by biome, bait, weather, and time; fish can also be scaled for items. Exploration spans enhanced Overworld landscapes, including rivers and streams and biomes from Biomes O’ Plenty and Defiled Lands, as well as expanded Nether terrain and the two dimensions added by Blue Skies. Players can also watch for birds, photograph wildlife, catch butterflies, and tame or breed some creatures, while Universal Bestiary helps track information about encountered mobs. Dungeons, locked treasure chests, Tumbleweed loot, custom bounty-board quests, and rewards provide exploration goals beyond ordinary mining and building. Survival and combat are deliberately tougher: early-game zombies are formidable, passive creatures can fight back, health does not regenerate passively, and darkness makes carrying a light source important. Dungeon mobs, buffed enemies, progressively challenging bosses, catacombs, and recurring Bloodmoons add further combat pressure, while a temporary starting safe zone gives players time to begin their tasks. The pack also adds magic and exploration tools, including Thaumcraft and its expansions, Wizardry, Bewitchment, Roots, Reliquary items, and Ender Prospecting. Horse-drawn carts offer portable storage and a way to travel with friends, and players can improve saddles for the ride.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 29 Mar 2020). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
4 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 16 Mar 2020 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 196 of its 199 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of 196 of its 199 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 7 of the 85 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
114 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
