About
StutterFix aims to reduce stuttering, especially during new chunk generation, by letting you configure the game’s worker-thread count and priorities. Fewer worker threads can reduce CPU overhead and stuttering at the cost of slower chunk generation, while assigning minimum priority to some workers can help keep the game responsive. You can also adjust the render-thread priority and, in singleplayer, the integrated server-thread priority; an optional setting removes the render loop’s yield call to potentially make frame rates more stable. The worker-thread controls have little effect on client stuttering in multiplayer, where chunk generation is handled by the server, and the mod does not address stuttering caused by garbage collection.
