    Thaumic Wands restores wands to Thaumcraft by changing Arcane Crafting so vis comes from a wand’s stored charge rather than directly from the aura. Wands can be charged by collecting vis orbs dropped when monsters are killed, using a Recharge Pedestal to drain vis from the current chunk, or using a Workbench Charger to draw from a 3×3 chunk area. The materials used for a wand’s parts affect crafting costs, providing discounts on vis or required vis crystals; wands also work like the caster’s gauntlet, letting players use foci that consume vis from the wand’s storage. The mod adds compatibility wand parts, including Mithrillium, Adaminite and Mithminite caps and an Adaminitewood rod from Thaumic Additions, Infused Thaumium caps from Thaumic Restoration, Thauminite caps from Thaumic Bases, and Alkimium and Bismuth caps from Planar Artifice. CraftTweaker can be used to create custom wand parts, with crystal-discount caps requiring ModTweaker as well.
