A brutally difficult survival pack with an optional story to uncover.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 427 graded mods, 187 are graded A or B, 63 C and 177 D to F. Its last update came out 3 months ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Framework Protocol Resurgence is a freeform, exceptionally difficult modpack with an optional, cryptic story about reconnecting with a world and uncovering what happened to Protocol Alpha. Its gameplay spans building a SecurityCraft base with Open Modular Turrets and camera surveillance, managing a NuclearCraft Overloaded fusion reactor, harnessing dragon power through Draconic Evolution, and exploring quantum and comic-book science with PymTech and Quantum Minecraft Dynamics. Players can also delve into Lovecraftian themes with AbyssalCraft, create dimensions or use Compact Machines and RFTools, pursue magic with Mahou Tsukai and Wizardry, and fight parasitic forces. A custom Advanced Rocketry galaxy offers more than 1,000 planets to explore, while gateways provide access to it; featured landmarks include the Void Stone Tower and Red Dwarf Lab.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 14 Jul 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 5 Jun 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 436 of its 442 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
15 mods send something about you
We read the code of 429 of its 438 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 20 of the 232 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
206 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
