About
The Abyss: The Other Side is an endgame adventure mod centered on exploring a new, eerie dimension and surviving its dangerous inhabitants. Its dim environments are lit by glowing fungi and plants, and the dimension’s landscapes include distinct biomes such as Blaru Forest, Frost World, Phantom biomes, and a reworked Slime biome. Exploration is shaped by biome-specific world generation, structures such as Abylager huts and ruined portals, and changing conditions including dense fog, clear weather, and infection storms. The world is populated by hostile creatures and other entities, including Abyssal Lions, Rokas, Crystal Golems, Seekers, hummingbirds, and dragonflies. Players can develop a simple magic system powered by mana, take on end bosses, and use an assortment of weapons, tools, armor, and decorative items. A guide book can explain navigation, magic, and crafting, while configuration options let players adjust dimension difficulty and ore rarity, reposition the Somnium Bar, and toggle performance-oriented shader and particle settings.
