Mine an entire ore vein by breaking just one block.
64 of the 71 points that apply = 90 out of 100.
Veinminer lets players mine a connected vein of blocks by breaking a single block, streamlining repetitive mining. It comes preconfigured for ores and pickaxes, and its configurable rules can also make different blocks behave as one group, such as logs mined with axes. Server settings control options such as sneaking, cooldowns, mining delay, chain size, tool requirements, durability loss, and how item drops are handled. Administrators can further tailor which blocks and tools work together, apply settings to particular groups, and toggle the feature server-wide. The server-side design supports different clients, while an optional client addon adds hotkey-only mining and a preview of the blocks that will be mined. An optional enchantment addon can restrict veinmining to tools carrying the Veinminer enchantment.
Written from Modrinth , CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: Game data and resourcesChanges 1 game code file in this area: recipes, tags, advancements, language files and other game data..
Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 2 web addresses while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for some of its commits
Claude Code is named in 1 of its 407 commits.
A commit that names an AI tool shows that AI helped with that change, not how much of the code AI wrote.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

More modpacks put it in their new versions than a year ago: 125 a month now, 63 a year agoThe average of the last 6 months, compared with the same 6 months a year before. We say it only when the change is large..
1,343 modpacks include VeinMiner in at least one of their versions. Here are the 30 most downloaded.

The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 4 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
