Villages, villagers, and other places in your world get names.

Village Names gives villages, villagers, and other supported entities and structures randomized names, with configurable name-generation pools. Its village generator includes more than 160 Village and Pillage buildings, alongside backported and custom components; settings let you adjust village size and building frequency. You can configure which biomes villages appear in, which building types they use, and how building materials are chosen, including for modded biomes and buildings. Villages gain their own visual identity through custom name signs, banners, and preferred colors. A Codex can reveal the name of a supported non-village structure, and can be found in chests or obtained through Librarian and Cartographer trades. You can set which entities are named automatically when they spawn or receive names when right-clicked, and configure syllable pools for different name styles. Villager appearances combine biome-based clothing with profession-based outerwear, with additional styles such as forest, highland, aquatic, mushroom, magical, End, and Nether; skin tones also vary with biome. The mod revises villager trade pools, including a Mason career focused on stone and minerals, and allows Librarians and Cartographers to offer special treasure trades. It also backports structures and content such as igloos, Guardians, Ocean Monuments, and Prismarine, and villagers retain their names and professions when turned into zombies and cured again.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.12.2.
Adds 2 blocks, 18 items, 4 recipes, 7 advancements and 12 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.12.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.12.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
