Visual and sound changes for a cozier, more atmospheric world.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 53 graded mods, 51 are graded A or B, 2 C and none D to F. Its last update came out 10 months ago, for Minecraft 1.21.11. See the mods
Ambience is a client-side modpack designed to make Minecraft feel more immersive and cozy while remaining compatible with vanilla servers. It enhances visuals with connected textures, dynamic lighting, improved skins and models, first-person models, included shaders, falling leaves, other visual effects, and smoother chunk loading. Animation changes cover entities and player actions, including eating, while sound additions include wind, birds and crickets, underwater ambience, improved footsteps, and dripping sounds. The pack also adjusts the interface with blur when menus are open, mouse tweaks, and container tooltips, and includes optimization such as threaded chunk loading and reduced performance use when the game is out of focus.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.11 · Fabric, 7 Jan 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 53 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 43 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 4 of the 43 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
