Build railways, transit systems, and modern cities with a curated modpack.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 74 graded mods, 67 are graded A or B, 7 C and none D to F. Its last update came out yesterday, for Minecraft 26.2. See the mods
Block Railway Engineering is a building-focused modpack for creating modern cities and subway, light-rail, railway, and other transit networks, with room for roads and urban architecture. Its rail systems draw on Minecraft Transit Railway (MTR), Create, and Immersive Railroading, with automated operation, signalling, platform screen doors, ticket gates, passenger information displays, and overhead catenary systems. Building additions broaden the palette with vanilla block variants, modern lighting, urban construction details, and road decorations, while building-assistance and information-display mods support construction. The Full-contents Edition lets players manage optional building and railway content through an in-game DLC Manager, with Lite, Standard, and Architect building-material presets and MTR and Create Railway content presets. The pack also offers an IR-Only Edition centered on Immersive Railroading and a Fly Edition built around Create-related mods, including Create Fly and Create: Steam 'n' Rails. Across its editions, the pack includes performance and multiplayer optimizations, and its Full-contents Edition disables mob spawning by default; particles and some screen effects are also disabled by default, with these changes reversible.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.11 · Fabric, 6 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 61 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
4 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 61 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (6 Oct 2026) in the 61 mods we checked.
5 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
