A visual modpack that makes your world prettier while keeping vanilla gameplay.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 121 graded mods, 114 are graded A or B, 3 C and 4 D to F. Its last update came out 3 months ago, for Minecraft 1.21.11. See the mods
Chocolate is a visual and audio-focused modpack that aims to make Minecraft more immersive while keeping its familiar vanilla gameplay and progression intact. It overhauls particles, adds dynamic lighting and shader effects, and improves ambient sounds and sound physics, with preinstalled shader options including a lighter pack for less capable systems. Mobs receive shader and visual effects, along with new animations, sounds, and variants; the pack also includes small building-focused additions such as Hold My Items and A Good Place. Performance optimizations help balance the visual upgrades, and the pack is designed to work with shaders such as Complementary Reimagined, BSL, and SEUS.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.11 · Fabric, 31 Jul 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 121 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 95 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 10 of the 95 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
