Craft in Chaos is a modpack built around Born in Chaos, combining challenging creatures and boss encounters with a broad set of exploration, building, and equipment additions. Exploration is expanded with new biomes and dimensions, including Biomes O’ Plenty, Oh The Biomes We’ve Gone, and the Undergarden, alongside added dungeons and structures such as YUNG’s Better Strongholds, Better Dungeons, Dungeons and Taverns, and Moog’s Nether and End structures. The pack adds creatures and variants through Legendary Creatures, Legendary Monsters, Alex’s Mobs, Naturalist, Creeper Overhaul, Enderman Overhaul, and Friends&Foes, which includes mobs such as the crab, iceologer, and moobloom. Players can find or craft gear with special ItemModifiers, then use grindstones to reroll modifiers on tools, weapons, or armor up to 15 times. Equipment options also include Epic Knights’ armor, shields, and weapons, more bows and arrows, artifacts, and additional enchantments. The pack rounds out its adventures with expanded villages, new structures such as the Graveyard and Farmers Structures, and decorative building choices including Macaw’s bridges, furniture, roofs, fences, doors, windows, and lights.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 26 Jun 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 16 May 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 179 of its 180 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of 171 of its 172 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 9 of the 159 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
13 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
