About
Farm and Far is a vanilla-plus modpack that connects countryside living and food-based progression with exploration, dungeon crawling, and increasingly challenging boss fights. Players can grow crops, cook and place food, and build a home; discovering new foods can increase maximum health, while seasons change the weather, atmosphere, and timing of planting and harvests. A livelier natural world adds animals, fish, and other details, with creatures displaying distinct behaviors and a spyglass for recording newly discovered species. Expanded terrain features mountains, valleys, and coastlines, while structures, ruins, dungeons, and archaeology sites invite exploration. Fishing can yield a wider variety of fish and rare treasures, some of which can become valuable equipment for underwater combat. Combat emphasizes preparation and skill against stronger enemies and bosses, with an interconnected progression path linking boss challenges rather than treating them as isolated encounters. In-game notes and hints offer guidance without imposing a fixed questline, leaving room for free exploration as players work toward defeating the Ender Dragon and unlocking a new endgame. The pack is designed to work well in multiplayer, with one to six players recommended.
