A food-focused modpack full of farming, cooking, and new ingredients.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 73 graded mods, 21 are graded A or B, 12 C and 40 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Food for Life is a lightweight, vanilla-inspired modpack centered on agriculture, cooking, and expanding the range of food available in Minecraft. Its farming and harvest additions include Pam’s HarvestCraft, AgriCraft, Natura, Hatchery, Simple Corn, Karat Garden, and Harvestables, while Aquaculture adds fishing content. For turning ingredients into meals, the pack includes Cooking for Blockheads, Pam’s Cookables, Food Expansion, and Fast Food, alongside Cravings and AppleSkin for food-related information and hunger mechanics. Food-themed extras include Industrial Meat, Rock Candy, Lucky Beans, and ChocoCraft, which adds chocobos. The pack also adds broader exploration, building, storage, and equipment options through mods such as Cavern, Quark, Rustic, Storage Drawers, Iron Chests, and Tinkers’ Construct. JourneyMap, Just Enough Items, The One Probe, and inventory and harvesting utilities round out the pack with mapping, recipe lookup, information, and convenience features.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 22 May 2018). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 17 May 2018 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 74 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
2 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 74 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (22 May 2018) in the 33 mods we checked.
2 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
41 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
