A low-tech, high-magic modpack with many dungeons and challenges.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 76 graded mods, 31 are graded A or B, 15 C and 30 D to F. Its last update came out 9.2 years ago, for Minecraft 1.10.2. See the mods
Magic Unleashed is a low-tech, high-magic modpack built around combat, questing, dungeon exploration, and hardcore-style survival in a hostile world. Its story casts you into a land of nightmare creatures and dangerous dimensional rifts, with a quest to find the demon who sent you there and take revenge. Players can pursue distinct magical approaches: druidic magic through Roots and Botania, blood magic through EvilCraft and Blood Magic, technomancy through Psi, or purity through Ars Magica 2. Exploration is supported by Doomlike Dungeons, Roguelike Dungeons, and Ruins, while Lycanites Mobs, Vampirism, AbyssalCraft, Ender Zoo, and Infernal Mobs add hostile or supernatural encounters. Better Questing provides the pack’s quest system, guiding progression through objectives that are currently often set to retrieval rather than crafting. Other additions include Bloodmoon and Hardcore Darkness for harsher nights, Rough Mobs for tougher enemies, and levels and Soul Shards: The Old Ways for character and mob-related progression.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.10.2 · Forge, 1 Aug 2017). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 1 Aug 2017 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
A Warning in 1 mod
We checked all 83 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
A Warning is not proof of malware.
Wrong result? Tell us.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
12 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 83 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 5 of the 37 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
46 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
