A research based tech progression modpack inspired by Factorio.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 136 graded mods, 43 are graded A or B, 31 C and 62 D to F. Its last update came out 4.8 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Manufactio is a research-driven technology modpack that brings factory-building gameplay inspired by Factorio to Minecraft. You begin with a limited set of tools, gather resources, craft science packs and turn them into research points to unlock technologies through the quest-guided progression. Build and automate a factory to process large volumes of resources, with early progression encouraging automation of tasks such as making wires and red science. The factory develops toward rocket construction and exploration of the planet’s moons, followed by advanced nanotechnology and EMC systems for further optimisation. Factory growth is challenged by increasingly dangerous hostile mobs, enhanced mob AI and pollution that affects the world over time; pollution also interacts with mining, and craftable filters can automate its removal. Later progression includes obtaining uranium and titanium with an Immersive Engineering Excavator, while Industrial Renewal adds cosmetic blocks and linked cart variants, including a fluid wagon. An optional 32× resource pack offers textures drawing on vanilla Minecraft, Misa and John Smith.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 27 Dec 2021). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 5 Nov 2020 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 145 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
9 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 145 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 4 of the 73 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
72 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
