Recording Client is a client-side modpack for content creators who want smoother gameplay and tools for recording videos and livestreams in single-player worlds or on vanilla servers, without requiring the pack on the server for most features. Replay Mod captures lightweight replays for later rendering into timelapses and cinematic shots, while Freecam, Litematica, and Bobby support camera work, schematic-based building, and extended render distances of up to 128 chunks using cached world data. For thumbnails and polished screenshots, Isometric Renders creates customizable transparent-background images of blocks, items, entities, and mobs, and Bigshot or Fabrishot can capture images at several times the monitor's resolution, including 4K on a 1080p display. Toggleable rule-of-thirds grid overlays help compose shots, and Dynamic Crosshair hides the crosshair when it is not useful, reducing distractions in screenshots. Sodium and related performance mods boost frame rates, while FerriteCore reduces memory use; optional visual touches include shader support through Iris, dynamic hand-held lights, connected glass and grass textures, bushier leaves, and a smaller shield-and-totem display. Other practical features include MiniHUD and Light Overlay for farm design and checking build lighting, searchable keybinds, player heads in chat, and optional proximity voice chat on servers that support it. The pack also offers controller support for Java Edition, and No Chat Reports can remove chat signatures where a server permits it.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.11 · Fabric, 27 Jan 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 46 of its 47 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 2 of the 43 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
1 mod is not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
