A horror modpack where a forgotten horse haunts your world.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 100 graded mods, 81 are graded A or B, 16 C and 3 D to F. Its last update came out 2 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
The Forgotten Horse is a horror modpack centered on creepyhorse.jar, placing you in an old world where a horse long forgotten by its owner becomes the focus of an unsettling, nostalgia-tinged experience with a slight ARG feel. The horse may stare at you through retro vision or wait in the rain, with the gallery warning that trying to saddle it can lead to your disappearance. Sound Physics Remastered adds a more immersive, tension-building soundscape, while nostalgic tweaks, old-style lighting and water, vintage music and sounds, and the Golden Base resource pack reinforce the retro atmosphere. The pack also includes multiplayer support through Essential, zoom, and other quality-of-life features; it can produce loud noises, grief your world, and disable cheats.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 26 Aug 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 15 Aug 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 98 of its 100 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of 88 of its 90 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 1 of the 75 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in it, or its author declared AI content.
6 other mods show AI use only from after this release (26 Aug 2026), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
15 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
