About
The Fungal Infection is a co-op or singleplayer survival modpack about defending a base as a Cordyceps infection spreads across the Overworld and continues to evolve. Players can find lost guidebooks written by a survivor named Steve, which unlock questlines that teach survival and base-defense preparation. Defenses progress from primitive spikes to slingshots, cannons, and turrets, while following the Dragon Association leads toward developing a bio-weapon against the infection. The pack also includes guns with customizable attachments; ammunition is scarce, found in underground bunkers or crafted through a Create assembly, and gunfire can draw infected toward the player. Gunshots also briefly light the surrounding area, making firing a costly, short-lived source of illumination as well as a combat choice.
