ModpackZima's Vanilla+ is a compact modpack designed to enhance performance and bring minor QoL improvements to the vanilla Minecraft experience. Unlike other vanilla modpacks, Zima's Vanilla+ uses as few mods as possible to minimize impact on performance.

About
Zima's Vanilla+ is a compact modpack that aims to improve performance while keeping Minecraft close to vanilla, using a small selection of mods for modest quality-of-life changes. Chopping a tree with an axe using FallingTree makes its trunk fall instantly into logs, with the number of logs still affecting axe durability; the feature is stated to work without interfering with vanilla servers. The pack adds native controller support, including for Steam Deck, and includes a minimap and world map through JourneyMap, alongside voice chat and inventory interface improvements. It also includes first-person and third-person view enhancements, plus sound effects and processing changes that add UI sounds and alter the listening experience. Super Duper Vanilla shaders are enabled by default, with a 30 FPS cap intended to limit heat on laptops and lower-powered machines; MakeUp Ultra Fast is offered as a lighter shader alternative.
