Faithful to the original. Better vanilla experience without any new blocks or mobs.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 66 graded mods, 62 are graded A or B, 4 C and none D to F. Its last update came out 5 days ago, for Minecraft 26.3. See the mods
Vanilla Essence aims to keep Minecraft's familiar, unmodded feel while making exploration smoother and performance more responsive, without adding blocks or mobs. Terralith adds more than 100 biomes and landscape variations, while Repurposed Structures and Qraftyfied bring hundreds of new buildings to discover. The pack also includes several performance-focused mods and interface improvements through Smooth GUI and Modern UI, and is designed to work in multiplayer without changing gameplay.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.11 · Fabric, 19 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 9 Aug 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 66 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
1 mod file is inside the pack file itself: it matches a known file (
Traveler's Titles).
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 55 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 7 of the 55 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
