Armor of the Ages adds ten animated, three-dimensional armor sets and a Bamboo Hat inspired by historical cultures, including Japanese Dō-maru and O-Yoroi, Roman Centurion, Egyptian Pharaoh and Anubis, and Mayan Quetzalcoatl designs. Wearing all four pieces of a set activates its bonus, with effects that can depend on the time of day, weather, biome, health, nearby monsters, or dimension. For example, Dō-maru grants speed at night and strength while sneaking, Pharaoh provides fire resistance and glowing with haste in deserts, and Raijin’s abilities grow stronger in rain and thunderstorms. Other sets offer trade-offs and situational strengths: Quetzalcoatl’s strength rises as health falls but comes with hunger and poison, Holy armor improves near monsters, and Exalted Aurum’s effects change from surface penalties to greater power underground and in other dimensions. Armor can be crafted, and pieces can also be discovered in vanilla structure chests: for example, the Bamboo Hat in mineshafts, shipwrecks, or taiga village houses; Pharaoh armor in desert pyramids; Raijin in bastion treasure rooms; and Exalted Aurum in ancient cities. The in-game configuration lets players choose the armor body type, adjust armor properties, enable or disable loot, and select skins; O-Yoroi skins include Nightblue, Amber, Jade, Pinky, Dusk, and Ink, while Iron Plate has an Ashes skin. Datapacks can override or remove the armor recipes, allowing modpacks and servers to customize crafting.
Written from Modrinth , CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: Rendering and graphicsChanges 1 game code file in this area: drawing mobs, items, particles and textures on screen..
Adds 41 items and 41 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
An AI tool may have been used
Claude Code is named in the ignore list of its repository.
This does not show that it was used to make the files you download.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

2,045 modpacks include Armor of the Ages in at least one of their versions. Here are the 30 most downloaded.
Mods that modpacks often add together with Armor of the Ages. Share: how many of the modpacks with Armor of the Ages also have that mod.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 4 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
