Better Hurt Timer changes how damage and hurt feedback work in Minecraft combat, aiming to make damage-over-time and attacks from multiple sources matter in both PvP and PvE. Players and mobs attack according to their own attack speed, so rapid clicking does not bypass the attack-rate limit, and players attacking the same target do not interfere with one another’s attack speeds. Damage has separate immunity timing by damage source: repeated damage can be accumulated and released or canceled within source-specific intervals, allowing sources such as fire and lava to deal damage concurrently. The mod also stacks damage from multiple arrows that hit a target, while protecting armor and shields from taking durability damage more often than once every quarter-second. Damage-source settings can control knockback, including disabling it for selected sources, and hurt sounds and animations wait until the previous hurt animation has finished; the animation can also be disabled in the configuration. An operator-only export command can produce files listing detected damage sources, configured mob attack frames, or registered vanilla and modded mob IDs.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 2 areas: Rendering and graphicsChanges 1 game code file in this area: drawing mobs, items, particles and textures on screen. and Mobs and their behaviorChanges 1 game code file in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act..
Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
