    About

    Chat Patches is a configurable client-side mod that improves Minecraft chat without needing to be installed on a server. It expands the chat history limit from 100 messages to 16,384 and can preserve chat history and previously sent messages across worlds and servers, as well as save message logs for later sessions. Optional timestamps can appear before messages in pink [hour:minute:second] format, with a tooltip showing the full date; player-name formatting can also be customized, including removing the vanilla angle brackets. To make busy chats easier to follow, the mod can mark consecutive duplicate messages with a counter, offer a search bar for received messages, and provide a right-click menu for copying message text or specific data. It also includes chat display adjustments, such as shifting the chat HUD to avoid overlap with the armor bar, and lets users toggle and configure its features.
