    About

    Dungeon Tactics adds gameplay variety for adventurers and dungeon defenders through new combat gear, utility items, craftable traps, and generated structures, without aiming to overhaul Minecraft or serve as an end-game mod. Its equipment includes varied melee weapons such as extended-reach glaives and slower, harder-hitting clubs, rare weapons with special abilities, shields, studded leather and plate armour, throwing knives, slingshots, and explosive, fiery, teleporting, or cryogenic grenades. Players can poison blades by dipping them in a prepared cauldron, use enchanted trinket rings for hunger-costing abilities, and find unique legendary loot with unusual effects that can be repaired using bottled experience. Utility tools range from a bed-linked Magic Tether and a portable Ender Chest-like Bag of Hoarding to a tunnelling device that mines a 3-by-3 area, piston gloves, block-rotating wrenches, and rocket pants with flight goggles for control. The mod also adds functional and decorative blocks, including ore-grinding and entity-moving fans, distance-based flamers, mob-repelling Magic Lanterns, storage barrels, chairs, and resettable or concealable trap plates. Alchemy uses a fire-lit cauldron for recipes and weapon poisoning, while underground Incindiberries, surface Cherry Bombs, and Nether Glowcurrent provide edible ingredients, slingshot ammunition, or crafting materials; magic scrolls offer normal and alternate effects, with Mage Affinity armour reducing their casting cost. Generated content includes Mob Towers and randomly generated dungeons in the Overworld and Nether, as well as Wizard Towers, Pirate Ships, Traveller's Waggons, and Mini Forts; a skull placed on a tower's Guardian Altar starts an arena fight against the Tower Guardian. Other additions include potion fish, stackable milk bottles, food rations made from rotten flesh, ore clusters that can be smelted or washed into dust, and enchantments such as smelting while mining, life steal, and damage conversion.
