Unofficial Updated Modpack for Hexxit
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 85 graded mods, 33 are graded A or B, 12 C and 40 D to F. Its last update came out 14 months ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Hexxit Updated is an unofficial adventure-focused reworking of the original Hexxit, bringing its exploration-centered style to a larger world of dimensions and dungeons without an ingrained story. Players can explore overworld dungeons generated by Recurrent Complex, Doomlike Dungeons, and Chocolate Quest Repoured, as well as dimensions including Atum, the Betweenlands, the Aether, AbyssalCraft, and the Erebus. Those dimensions and structures offer opportunities to encounter bosses, while more common diamonds help travelers gear up for exploration. The pack also includes the Twilight Forest, Biomes O' Plenty, Advent of Ascension, Battle Towers, and Infernal Mobs, adding further places and encounters to discover. A suite of performance-focused mods, including FoamFix, BetterFPS, VanillaFix, Surge, and Phosphor, is included alongside the adventure content.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 1 Sep 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 25 May 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 87 of its 88 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 2 of the 44 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
44 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
