Engineer's Life is a technology-focused modpack built around a gradual, age-based journey from primitive survival to digital automation, with flexible progression shaped by custom recipes rather than strict age locks. Early play centers on gathering flint and grass, making basic equipment, establishing food and charcoal production, and building a shelter and Coke Oven; later, Better With Mods introduces mechanical power, specialized tools, and iron and steel smelting in kilns and blast furnaces. Industrial Engineering adds RF power and multiblock ore-processing factories, while Forestry brings automated multiblock farms and green energy. Tech Reborn advances the industrial stage with rolling machines, a multiblock saw, an industrial blast furnace, pipes, and improved RF energy storage; Refined Storage then provides digital item storage. Farming, material processing, and storage are the pack's main themes, complemented by transportation through Signals and exploration of dungeons and dimensions. Players can also expect new mobs and weapons, a hunger system that encourages cooking different foods, modular tools and armor, and functional machinery ranging from windmills to multiblock blast furnaces. Custom village buildings and realistic terrain generation add building opportunities, while the selected mod lineup is intended to avoid overlapping features and encourage use of machines from different mods.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 7 Nov 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 31 Mar 2021 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 151 of its 152 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of 151 of its 152 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 7 of the 76 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
76 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
