About
Dynamic Surroundings: Fabric Edition is a client-side mod that extends Minecraft’s vanilla atmosphere with environmental sound and visual effects, and can be used in single-player or while connected to a server. It adds spatial reverb, configurable controls for blocking or adjusting individual sounds, and rules for remapping sounds such as block footsteps. Ambient sounds respond to nearby biomes and blend as players move, while flowing water can produce waterfall sounds, spray, and foam, and hot blocks such as lava or magma can create flame jets or steam where water meets heat. The mod also offers improved thunder sounds and, with Serene Seasons, lets seasonal temperature changes affect certain effects and biome sounds. Players can adjust the mod’s ambient volume and disable its scary sounds, and can view the time of day while holding a clock or their facing direction while holding a compass.
