    About

    Elysium API is a library for mod developers and modpack creators, providing Java APIs, utility classes, and data- and resource-driven systems for changing Minecraft behaviors that are difficult to modify through ordinary means. Its resource-driven lightmap settings can conditionally change sky-light color, block-light color, and ambient brightness by biome or dimension, with priorities and fade speeds for coordinating overlapping settings. Settings can also respond to runtime event flags, including rain, thunderstorms, moon phases, being underwater or near the Wither, and custom flags supplied by other mods; these changes affect client-side appearance rather than world lighting or mob spawning. Other included systems let creators adjust fog properties, define data-driven right-click behaviors for blocks, change block sound types through datapacks, place structure NBT files as configured world features, and trigger colored screen flashes for visual effects. The API also expands brewing recipes with configurable inputs, outputs, and ingredients, including component checks, and provides a Voronoi-cell-based MosaicBiomeSource that selects biomes from weighted data-driven lists for dimensions that do not rely on traditional climate rules. Additional tools include runtime reflection for referencing external blocks, items, or status effects without compile-time dependencies, along with APIs for modifying surface rules and data-driven tags that help make vanilla mechanics less hardcoded.
