    About

    Extended Drawers is a storage mod for building straightforward, configurable systems that hold large quantities of a small selection of items. Its single-, double- and quad-slot drawers form the main storage blocks and can be accessed directly or connected to hoppers and pipes from other mods. Access points connect to multiple drawers, making it possible to insert items into the network in-world or extract them through hoppers and pipes, while shadow drawers show and expand a resource’s shared network supply for centralized or remote automation. Compacting drawers automatically compress and decompress supported items using 2×2 and 3×3 recipes, with capacity determined by the most compressed form stored. Slot-specific upgrades increase drawer capacity and can be adjusted through configuration, while downgrades or limiters let you restrict it; locks preserve a drawer’s selected item when empty and prevent automation from filling it with something else. Drawers can also void excess items so storage does not overflow, with non-voiding drawers filled first, or hide their item icons to reduce visual clutter or obscure contents. The mod supports configuration and datapacks, including overrides that determine which items compacting drawers handle and how their compression levels work. An in-game guide book explains the mod’s systems and requires Patchouli to display in-game.
